Say hello to Jasmine Washington, Cornell College, our new Inclusion, Access, and Success (IAS) Committee Chairperson! Jasmine is jumping in feet first as she leads the IAS Committee in preparation for the 2025 LEAP Conference on December 2 at Kirkwood Community College.

Jasmine graduated from Mount Mercy University in December of 2020, and taught for three years before getting into higher education. She's starting her second year in admission at Cornell College, working with student athletes and coaches as an athletic liaison.

Here’s how Jasmine describes her experience as part of Iowa ACAC, the Inclusion, Access, and Success Committee, and stepping in to the chair role:

"Iowa ACAC has allowed me to grow and make connections as a new professional in the field. When I learned about the IAS Committee, I knew it would be a great opportunity. As a first-generation college student, I’m passionate about providing all current and future first-gen students with resources and opportunities to help shape their futures."
