With the Freddy Miranda Access Scholarship deadline approaching, it's a good time to remind everyone to renew those memberships, if need be.
The high school students applying for the scholarship must be attending an Iowa high school that is a member as of March 4, 2020, and must be attending an Iowa ACAC member institution. If your high school, college, or university doesn't meet that requirement, then your student will miss that important requirement.
School counselors who are not Iowa ACAC college fair site hosts and those organizations that are not attending Iowa ACAC college fairs should make sure to stay on top of your membership renewals. Submitting those renewals are now as easy as 1-2-3:
1. 30 days before your organization's membership expires, you'll start receiving notifications.
2. The Key Contact for the organization receives the renewal reminder, which includes an electronic invoice, through which you can pay.
3. You pay the minimal registration amount.
It's that easy!
We all have busy lives, so we do allow a 30-day grace period to renew your membership once it expires. So, if you thought you missed the opportunity to renew, and it's still within 30 days of the expiration date listed in your emailed notification, you may still click on the e-invoice and pay.
Remember, if your organization (high schools, colleges, universities, non-profits, military) ARE hosting a college fair or ARE registered to attend Iowa ACAC college fairs, then your organization receives a complimentary, one-year organizational membership. Everyone in the admission or high school counseling office is included in the membership.
So, remember to get those memberships
