The time is almost upon us. The RIDE 2022. It’s been a tough last couple of years, getting oh, so, close and yet needing to cancel, but this year (knock on wood) it seems like we are in the clear to carry out one of the best traditions and events with Iowa ACAC.

The RIDE is a fantastic opportunity to see many of the colleges and universities that the State offers, while also getting to make great connections with other High School Counselors while on the road.

For this year’s tour we will be exploring the Western, Southwestern and Southern parts of the State  June 5-8. Boarding our bus at Central College on Sunday, June 5, we work our way to Iowa Western Community College for our first official stop and overnight. The next day, we will hear information from Iowa Western and work our way down and around the border, stopping at Southwestern Community College and Graceland University. We’ll stop at Simpson College for the night, including some evening social activities at Simpson.

On Tuesday, we will start by hearing from Simpson, then head out to visit Indian Hills Community College, William Penn University and end at Central College for our final overnight stop. We will finish where we started on Wednesday morning by hearing from Central College and that will be a wrap for The RIDE 2022.

A reminder that there is a $25 non-refundable registration fee to hold your spot, which will, upon completion of The RIDE, give your school a one-year organizational membership in Iowa ACAC. We are also working on the final touches of securing a CEU and Grad credit opportunity for anyone who goes on The RIDE.
